When the aerospace industry realized that it was necessary to supplement the ISO quality management system model to satisfy internal, government and regulatory requirements for the aerospace industry, AS 9100 was established. This standard comprises the ISO 9001: 2000 requirements augmented by aerospace industry requirements. It was the result of an international effort by aerospace companies with a common goal of establishing a quality management system for use within the aerospace industry. It has been published in Europe as EN 9100, in the United States as AS 9100 and in the Far East as SJAC 9100.

GELBYSON Quality Management System was approved to be compliant with the  AS / EN / SJAC 9110  &  AS / EN / SJAC 9120  Aerospace Standards on February 2, 2007.

GELBYSON Quality Management System has been compliant with the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard since 2001.

 GELBYSON is an EASA Part-145 approved maintenance organisation and has been a JAR part-145 maintenance organisation since 1998.
